Firstly, it may seem silly to name it the Sketch sketchbook, but I am simply trying to differentiate it from my Watercolour Sketchbooks. Also, it has the ‘sketch’ imprint on the front cover, so there you go. I do at times call it by it’s other name – the Pen & Ink sketchbook, however I am referring to the same thing. So what’s different about this Sketch sketchbook? Firstly (but also mainly), let’s talk about paper- the ‘meat‘ of the sketchbook. Few and far in between are sketchbooks available made with the ‘paper’ that this sketchbook comes with. I am talking about Bristol Boards. That’s right folks. One of the best papers available for sketchbook are the Bristol Boards, and mine specifically is made in the USA. They come in a beautiful ivory colour with a smooth surface. It works great with inks and pencils too.

The Bristol Boards are sourced from (and made in) the USA, from a paper mill that longer manufactures them. Fortunately I bought their entire stock, and although isn’t much, should suffice for the time being. So quickly, try out one of my ‘Sketch’ sketchbooks as they only come in limited quantities specifically with Bristol Boards. Aside from that, there really isn’t anything more to say about this sketchbook, it’s a simple handmade sketchbook that comes with one of the best papers out there.
